At least this is better than JWs. Still members of the church, but not in good standing, something JWs already do unofficially, and no forced shunning.

Are Witnesses advised not to get into discussion’s about evolution with HH?
by Diogenesister injust before the last memorial, i finally had a witness call with an invite ( i say finally because i haven’t seen anyone in the d 2 d preaching work for going on 5 years!)..
i wasn’t particularly prepared ( it being early and me still in my nightie!
) but i managed to collect myself and said i didn’t think i wanted to go since i discovered the scandal around the un.....and i outlined the facts.. jw: oh no i don’t think so, where on earth did you read that?.

The Unbelievable Just Happened!

something uneblievable just happened.. i am pomo for a while not too long though.
while we were away (i and my best friend for the weekend), i received several texts from my 2 friends, from my ex-cong ,who are pimi(but starting to have doubts) who have been asking me questions about the jdubs.the texts seemed quite urgent n serious, so got the lowdown .at the weekend meeting , 3 families walked out!.

outside of obvious satire, i'm not sure this has ever happened.

I know that in recent years it's been a trendy spot for JWs to visit on 'need-greater' trips (really just an excuse for a vacation) and at least one JW owns a hotel down there. We'll see if that drops off.

Outside of obvious satire, I'm not sure this has ever happened. This is just an easy way to dismiss real material, which there is much of, that makes them look bad: The ever-present possibility that it was tainted by a Bitter Apostate ®.
Didn't anybody here use to believe that lie or heard it spread?
